Our regular meetings occur every other Monday night, 7:00-8:30PM. To get exact dates, contact your Youth Minister for a calendar. Our Youth Mass is every third sunday of the month.
Retreats are by far the best way to grow in community as peers and as Church. They are also one of the most powerful ways to experience Christ, His Church, and the transforming power of His love. Teens that go on retreat (willingly or not) always return with the experience of being seen, known, and loved.
We are called to live our faith in words and deeds.
Throughout the year we work a variety of fundraisers in order to provide our teens and families with quality experiences without "killing their banks". It also helps our teens to value work and claim ownership and responsibility for their ministry.
We also volunteer with setups at the various events at our parish and continue to look for opportunities to bring our communal joy to those who need a helping hand and a loving heart.
Experiencing the Catholic Church goes beyond our parish walls! Our Church is a universal community and we want our teens to know it and live it! This is why we are committed to creating intentional opportunities for our teens to be the community that they have been called to be.
Every year we attend the Catholic Youth Rally at Six Flags, visit Catholic Underground in NYC, and plan other trips to places like Dave & Busters, bowling, peach picking, etc.
Although most of our pilgrimages and trips are local to our area (Tri-State), in 2019, thanks to the support and generosity of the OLMV staff and community, our teens were given the opportunity to experience the life changing National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianapolis. A transformative experience we pray and hope we will be able to continue to attend.
Above is just the tip of the iceberg!
Our teens also participate in the yearly Awards Ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica in Newark, "run" monthly Mass, and so on.
We truly are a dynamic community!
